Are you fond of kissing? Maybe the occasional gentle peck on the cheek? Perhaps a friendly light brush on the forehead is more your style. Then again, why don’t we just go all out with a big old sloppy wet one?
Whatever your flight of fancy, today is all about canoodling. Time for our characters to pucker up and smooch their way into happiness.

July 6th Writing Prompts

In honor of international kissing day, write an original story involving any of the following scenarios.
- Your characters finally share their first kiss.
- A person who hates being kissed falls in love with their ideal partner whose love language involves a lot of kissing.
- A story where a kiss actually enacts a curse.
- A character who changes form every time they kiss someone new.
When you’re done, remember to use the tag ‘dailywitheli’ so that I can add your story to my word prompt hall of fame. You do not have to attempt all of the prompts. However, if and when inspiration strikes, follow the muse.
For today’s prompt, we are tackling Sudden Fiction. This is a story that is between 101 to 750 words. Therefore try your best to stick within the confines of the word count for your story.
If you do get stuck, don’t sweat it. Simply take a walk, grab a drink of water and get back into it. I always use images to inspire me. You can also refer to some of the best kissing scenes you can remember from your favorite films, stories, or comics. As long as it helps you write, do it.
Have fun with today’s writing prompts and remember, kissing helps to curb blood pressure.
