Poem 017 – Take the Day

Take the day and drop it in, sprinkle hope to make it sweet,

A dash of sadness for lulls that be, don’t worry, it’s still incomplete.

Mix it up with some laughter please, but don’t go heavy on the stressful bills,

A drop of memories might sting a bit, but warm eventually with treasured bliss.

Then shake it up with some random things, try what you’ve always wished could be,

With a slice of dreams you might never see, for such is life, to have faith, believe.

Then have it cold with friends, or warm with family,

Spicy hot with lovers, or gulp it down solo and free.
