Poem 019 – Introverted

Your laughter cuts me, punctures flesh and bone,

Your stares punch me, scatter focus and prong.

Want me to give my all? I want to crawl into a ball,

Hide my face from y’all and yours from mine,

Run away distressed, return to my home,

Still you ravage and tear, devour me whole,

With bumbling mumbling questioning talk,

Just leave me alone, stop yelling and calm,

Don’t pester and prod or settle for nods.
