I am satisfied staying single. It took a while to get here, especially around this time of the year, but I did. Love for others begins with a love of self, and that’s something that took a while to reign in. Now that I have started the process, I can say that I am learning what it means to love myself.
I am yet to venture into the uncharted waters of loving others the way I love myself. But I’m sure that with time and more learning, it is something I will eventually be able to fathom.
Happy Satisfied Staying Single Day
Today our characters get to evaluate their own internal conflict with love and resolve to be satisfied with staying single.
11th February Writing Prompts

In honor of Satisfied Staying Single Day, write an original story involving the following scenarios.
- Your character goes on a solo journey of self-discovery, backpacking around the world.
- The character in your story goes on their very first solo vacation.
- A single character takes their coupled friend on a trip to rediscover their individuality.
- A couple starts dating, only to realize they miss being single.
- Your character feigns being a jerk in order to get out of an arranged marriage.
Remember to use the tag ‘dailywitheli’ so that I can add your story to my word prompt hall of fame. You do not have to attempt all of the prompts. However, if and when inspiration strikes, do follow the muse.
For today’s prompt, we are tackling Micro-Fiction. This is a story with no more than 100 words. Therefore, as always, try your best to stick within the confines of the word count.
Take time to stretch, walk, grab a drink of water, and enjoy being single. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being satisfied with your life as it is.
All in all, have fun with today’s writing prompts.
Until tomorrow,
.
