Hey Loves. Air hugs to all of y’all. It’s my birthday month darlings and I am exciteeeeeeed. It’s been full, it’s been good and I just wanted to dish out all the awesomeness with y’all lovelies as always. It’s great to have you around. Okay, let’s get to it.
So I’m a year older. I do not feel any different, maybe because as they say, dates and all are a social construct and time flows unperturbed in the usual order. That said, it all feels relatively the same and I will admit, that is a bummer. At this point in my life, I did wish that something super extraordinary would have happened to lurch things into over-gear. Just putting it out there God. I’m still waiting.
As far as staying active though, things have been better. I incorporated running alongside my on and off pilates workouts. There is still a huge struggle and a lot of procrastination, but it is happening. I have learned to pat myself on the back for the small steps and to strain towards consistency. Eventually, it’ll catch on. The mind will learn, adapt and prompt you to do it.
What I do wish for, coming into the new month, is a bit of rest. I’ve been on my feet for a while now and a change of scenery will do me a lot of good. I’m hoping it will also help nudge the writing process. I managed to write something at some point, but it’s nothing like I’m used to.
I know there’s a lot going on in my mind right now and it’s easy to just resign to the lackluster form of it all. But I hold onto the fact that change comes, eventually. Seasons change and there is hope in that. So I will ride my storms and take what I can get after the wreckage. Then I will wash up on shore and find my way back to civilization and if necessary, start over again.
